Losing a beloved pet is a terrible feeling. We are here to help make sure they return home.

We want to do everything we can to make sure pets are returned home.

Pet Pantry

Helping Pets By Ensuring The People Who Love Them Have The Supplies They Need

We care about you and your pets and want to ensure pets in our community can stay with their loving families, even when times are hard. Our pet food pantry (including kitty litter) is available to those in our community who need it.

if you need assistance and we will schedule a time for you to pick up supplies.

Because everyone deserves a full bowl.

Animal Control

We employ a Dog/Animal Control officer and are under contract for Dog/Animal Control and Shelter Services with local towns in the Tri-Lakes area

TLHS provides Dual Dog Control And Shelter Services Within The Following Townships:

Village of Saranac Lake
Town of Harrietstown
Town of Brighton
Town of St. Armand
Town of Franklin
Town of Santa Clara

Shelter Services Are Provided For The Following Towns/Villages:

Village of Lake Placid
Town of North Elba,
Town of Saranac
Town of Long Lake
Town of Tupper Lake

Spay/Neuter Vouchers

Our Spay/Neuter Program has grown from its humble beginnings...

It was initially established to alter shelter animals and transformed into a vital community program in 2010. The program offers vouchers to low-income residents in the Tri-Lakes region.
