1/11/2022 UPDATE: The clinic is now FULL.

Tri-Lakes Humane Society is partnering with FARVets again to offer a low-cost spay/neuter and rabies clinic for cats in the Tri-Lakes area on Sunday, January 16th. The clinic will take place at the shelter.

Spay/neuter and vaccines are critical for the welfare of cats, but the cost can often be prohibitive to low-income owners. Tri-Lakes Humane Society wants to help. This clinic is designed to ensure that underserved cat owners can keep their cats safe and make sure they don't parent any unplanned litters. Spaying and neutering your cat helps reduce overpopulation, reduces spraying/marking/roaming behaviors, and can lower the risk of certain cancers. Spring often marks the beginning of “kitten season,” so now's a great time to get them fixed and vaccinated!

If you or someone you know is having a hard time affording spay/neuter surgery for your cat, email or call the shelter at 518-891-0017 to pre-register for the clinic. The clinic is available to low-income residents and feral/stray cat caregivers in the Tri-Lakes Humane Society service area for $75 per cat. Pre-registration is required.

We are temporarily closing to visitors beginning Wednesday, December 8th. We will continue to offer scheduled appointments for those interested in adopting. Acceptable face coverings (covering mouth and nose) are required in the building regardless of vaccination status.

Anyone interested in donating to the shelter can drop items off on our porch or call the shelter at 518-891-0017 to make arrangements. Staff is at the shelter 9-5 each day, but might be busy caring for the animals, so please leave a message if no one answers your call.

For more information, email or call 518-891-0017.
